The Senior Managers Meeting (SMM) is a yearly conference, held by Grifols Plasma, a global healthcare company specializing in plasma sciences. During this time, all senior managers gather, reflect on the previous year, and plan for the future. Grifols Plasma is an ongoing retainer client with Carimus.

Slide Deck

One of the first things I worked on for SMM was a slide deck template that would be used for each presentation given during the conference. This slide deck was designed in powerpoint, however, with COVID-19 spikes and regulations, the conference was moved online and the slides were animated to create engaging video presentations.

Intro Animation

As the conference moved online, there arose a need to create a simple introduction animation to be reused at the start of each presentation. I created this template and then altered it for each presentation to include the title, name and position of the speaker. The colors were rotated in each resulting introduction to showcase the unique color palate of the meeting alongside each unique speaker.

Logo Evolution

An integral part of the SMM is the concept of rowing. There are many similarities drawn between the sport and the way that these managers work together with their teams “all in one boat.” Along with this idea, the logo used for SMM has changed each year and is slowly evolving towards an image of a group of people in a boat from a more abstract rendering of oars. This animation showcases this evolution over time up to the 2021 meeting.

Year in Review Animated Video

Celebrating the successes of the previous year, especially during a global pandemic, is an integral part of this conference. The year in review video encompasses all of the companies proudest accomplishments from the prior year and showcases it in a fun and engaging way. I worked with the Grifols team from storyboarding, stills of each statistic, and finally this animation to create a showcase they can be proud of.
